What is Transformational Coaching
Transformational Coaching is gentle. And it is a discovery process.
Rather than setting a short term goal for a specific part of life (work, relationships, health for example) we work together to go deeper, aiming to help make fundamental changes in mindset, beliefs, and self-identity which ultimately lead to more profound and lasting personal growth.
That isn’t to say achieving short term goals won’t be part of the process, but inevitably they’re part of the much beautiful picture of who you are.
If you’ve ever felt slightly stuck but can’t put your finger on why, or you have some questions you’d like help answering its likely that this type of coaching is for you.
What would a coaching session look like?
The first thing to work out is chemistry - will we work well together so you have the best experience and outcomes?
We will schedule a 30 min online session via Zoom where we will talk a bit more about what transformational coaching is, what you’d like to achieve and discuss how future sessions will run.
If you decide you would like to work with me, we will agree our “contract” and how we will work together. This will cover the frequency and length of our zoom sessions, and what your overall aims are. These sessions should be a partnership and we set the tone and outcomes together.
About me
I’m Lucy - its lovely to be here and meet you. I’ll be your coach.
So a little about me - I live in Hertfordshire on the edge of the Chilterns with my dog, Eric, and try to be outside as much as I can. I love to keep fit and healthy, enjoy the theatre, reading and learning.
After 25 years working in the city in London in Insurance, Private Equity and Banking I took the leap to retrain as a transformational coach after thinking about it for more than two years.
Two years ago I was feeling frustrated with myself and where I was at in my career. I’d worked for 10 years as a PA and after some wonderful opportunities spent another 10 years as a change manager. I loved my job but felt I was holding myself back somehow. I knew that if I wanted to be really happy in all aspects of my life I needed to address how I saw myself and how I showed up in the world; to get to be the truest and most unapologetic version of myself. This took me on my own journey with a fantastic transformational coach which I can only describe as life-changing.
Part of the discovery I had was how important it is for me to see people succeed. I have a curiosity about how people work and I realised I have an ability to help people see and become the best version of themselves. Coaching truly changed my life, and I hope I can do that for you too.
